Interactions take a moment, but relationships require a process. What role can libraries play in reconnecting generations? And how can we embed meaningful intergenerational work into what we already do?

This is the second of two sessions where we will focus on practical applications of intergenerational work from a library perspective. In the first session we explored how intergenerational work can reconnect and benefit our communities. If you cannot attend part 1 you will be able to catch up here.

Lorraine George from Generations Working Together (GWT) will use replicable case study examples to highlight the core principles of intergenerational work and the indicators of best practice. Also exploring how these different models can be developed through effective community partnerships in the work libraries already do.

The session will cover:

  • The core principles of intergenerational work and the quality standards. -The impact of the Creating Intergenerational Communities Toolkit in practice.
  • Potential starting points and community partnership models.
  • Top tips around development and delivery.
  • Measuring impact through simple tools.
  • Next steps suggestions.

This webinar is suitable for all library staff interested or involved in, developing intergenerational work, including those who may be new to the field.
