How can libraries incorporate music into their broader cultural offer and community development work?

In this webinar we’ll hear from Merton Libraries where music projects are at the heart of the service’s cultural programmes, from local music-making, performance and education.

Merton’s Tuned In music and wellbeing project has received national attention for its work to tackle loneliness and social isolation in our communities through music. Featuring acclaimed musicians the project offers weekly jam sessions, gigs, guitar tuition and music production lessons for the local community.

As the project has grown Merton has developed professionally equipped Arts Spaces for performance in its libraries via Arts Council funding, and is now a National Portfolio Organisation bringing an enhanced culture and music offer to its users and communities.

This webinar is for anyone looking to learn more about impactful and creative ways they can bring music into their libraries.
