In this participatory workshop you will learn how to make GIFs!

The GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) was invented in 1987 by computer scientist Steve Wilhite. These moving loops have become part of our popular culture seamlessly, used on social media, in private messages, to amuse or entertain, usually clarifying how we feel. These looped files bring still images to life and offer a fun way to engage with audiences.

In this session GIF-creator extraordinaire Eleanor Capaldi will take you through the steps of creating GIFs. We will start by adding stickers and text, before moving onto working with layers to create even more eye-catching creations. You will be invited to share your work as we go.

Suitable for absolute beginners as well as those who perhaps already have some experience with creating GIFs.

Selected image(s) to work from will be shared with all registrants prior to the session.
